Yes I agree that skruf stark is the one snus that brought me off cigarettes. I used to like the strongcut and still have some loose tins in my freezer. I’ve become a portion fan just because of the ease of use and removal.
I have tried the camel frost snus and its an ok snus for a minty flavor but it has less nicotine kick than the skruf stark is and I like a snus with a good nicotine kick. I guess it takes a while to completely kick the cigarette habit but I feel that I am well on my way… a friend of mine stopped by yesterday and still smokes but it didn’t bother me at all. That was a good test. The mornings are the hardest as I want my nicotine kick as soon as I wake up and its not the same putting some snus in and waiting for it to kick in as much as lighting up a smoke and feeling that immediate rush of “ahhh…”. But I made a promise to myself that I would quit when I was 40 and now I’m two weeks into my quitting smoking cigarettes. I don’t have that dry smoker’s cough anymore either!
I do miss the off road brands as I think they are strong snus. It had a good flavor and a good nicotine kick. Plus I think that snus is way cheaper than paying for cigarettes when I was a two pack a day smoker.
I said good bye to my 2-3 pack a day 38 year smoking habit by switching to Swedish snus back in November last year.
My top 5: Montecristo lös, LD lös, Genral Ekstra Sterk portions, Nick & Johnny Portions, and Camel (JTI) portions.
Camel in Sweden is made by Japan Tobaco International not to be confused with the Camel made by RJ Reynolds in the USA. They are completely different products and nothing alike.
